Specialty Packages and Columns
A look at some of the original editorial series and multistory content packages I’ve developed.
Editorial Series:
One Night In (Dwell) — A travelogue-style essay series about what it’s really like to stay in some of most unparalleled hotels and vacation rentals out there.
Origin Story (Dwell) — A front-of-book print column that chronicles the lesser-known histories of designs that have shaped how we live, suited to specific issue themes.
Icons Only (Dwell) — A narrative-driven online feature series about loving restorations of historically significant homes, exclusively for Dwell+ subscribers.
You Lived Where? (Dwell) — A personal essay series about compromise, creativity, and the places people have called home.
— I also edit Home Watching, an online column about the wild and wooly world of renovation television written by a self-proclaimed expert in the genre, Dwell senior home guides editor Megan Reynolds.
Specialty Packages and Projects:
At Dwell, I’ve conceptualized and led the execution of themed mini web packages including Happy Camper, about classic summer camp style in all its glory, and Everyone Loves an A-Frame, about the simple structures with a cult following. I’ve also assigned and edited short features and essays for Beach Week, our annual content week celebrating the best place on earth.
At AFAR, I researched and developed top-performing editorial packages for Women’s History Month and Black History Month and launched the brand’s LGBTQ travel vertical, which earned coverage on WNYC’s All of It.
